risks in keeping your server and it’s data on your premises.
Resiliency
With a Boxed Office solution, you’re not just buying a server, you’re also buying resiliency. Our servers are constantly
monitored for potential hardware problems, and if we do encounter an issue, we can quickly (1-3 minutes) migrate
your complete server to another platform, you won’t even lose the files you have open!
In the event of unexpected or unpredictable problem, our systems will migrate your server just as quickly, and as if your
server had simply been unexpectedly rebooted. In this case, you will only lose the system state (unsaved files etc).
In addition, all your data is stored on our SAN, which means your data is protected at all times, and constantly backed up.
We backup your essential information every 12 hours and hold it for 7 days, giving you constant peace of mind.
Easy Access
Boxed Office solutions take advantage of Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services. This allows you to connect to your
server as if it were your own desktop.
With Terminal Services you can access your server from anywhere in the world where you have access to the internet.
A number of options are available for accessing your information: -
- Remote Desktop: Access your desktop from any PC or Dumb Terminal, even through a web browser
- Outlook Web Access: Get the full Outlook experience over the web with Outlook Web Access. Logon, and start using email, calendar functions and much more real-time over the web
- Push-Mail: Synchronize your Windows Mobile Phone or Smart Phone over the internet (via 3G, GPRS or Wi-Fi) with Exchange. Plus with Push-Mail, you only synchronize when data is ready to be downloaded, saving on mobile bandwidth bills*
